Auclair et Landry Québec inc.

Auclair & Landry is a Quebec company specialized in the sale and installation of garage doors and automatic opening devices for garage doors (garage doors, automatic doors, fire doors, screen doors, leveling docks, curtain dividers).


Auclair & Landry technicians noted their work on paper. These reports were then transcribed manually once the technicians returned to the office. Recollection of paper files, deciphering of handwritten notes, typing and editing documents on computers: in total, the teams devoted daily 6 hours to the retranscription of this information. This manual process wasted considerable time for the company and was also the cause of data entry errors and duplication. The Auclair & Landry teams were no longer able to devote themselves fully to their core business, namely to provide the best service to their customers.


Direct Impact Solutions has developed a custom application used on iPad by the technicians to manage their jobs for the customers: driving directions, following orders, creation of work orders, etc.

Using FileMaker for managing customer orders and visits allowed them to save $70,000 CAD per year in printing costs.
